Anyway here I am again...with many km's driven, and Gunther's since gotten a new friend on the roads in the form of a Mini Cooper. Thanks to Mini, Gunther entered the realms of detailing and went in for some detailing work at AutoDetailer whilst I partied in Bangkok last weekend. After four days, he emerged looking stonkingly good...just check out the paintwork now, baby!!!

Gunther's lower section bumper at the front & rear plus side skirts were painted to match the body, so there's less of that ugly plastic bumper look that really doesn't befit a GTI. And I ripped out the dealer-supplied number plates so there's a neater look at the front.
The interior was treated to a multi-step treatment process so now the leather feels lovely and smells like the inside of a brand new handbag. Considering that I spent the equivalent of a small handbag on this detailing project, at least I feel like I'm driving around in a handbag for a while!
I learnt quite a bit about detailing and all the vain things you can do for one's car...which will ultimately lead to a whopper of a $$$ bill if you get addicted to it.
Darren the proprietor of AutoDetailer knows about cars alright and takes photos of them too. Find out more about his work and view his gallery here
